WALK WITH US MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING

The Mission

The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking.

THE THREAT

Drunk Driving is still the #1 cause of death on our roadways.

INCIDENTS A DAY

Adults drink too much and drive about 121 million times per year – or more than 300,000 incidents of drinking and driving a day.

PEOPLE KILLED IN 2018

That’s 29 people killed a day, or one person every 50 minutes. Each and every one of them 100% preventable.

INJURIES PER YEAR

300,000 injuries per year means exponentially more friends, family members and loved ones unnecessarily impacted by this preventable crime.

THE HUMAN TOLL

Drunk and drugged driving comes with a cost - and it is one that robs us of mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, spouses and friends. Meet the people behind the statistics.

Voices of Victims: The McConnell Family

My grandson, Kelly McConnell, is at the center, bearded and broad-shouldered and handsome in his high school graduation gown. He stands between his stepbrothers, Nathan and Roy III, while their dad, Roy Jr., hovers just behind them. Fourteen months...
